If you are looking for an easy, simple, no-bake, & healthy homemade granola, you have come to the right place!
(The secret? A skillet!)
Four years ago. That is when I first posted this easy no-bake skillet granola recipe on my old blog. It was also the last post on that blog. Not because it wasn’t popular. People tell me they have it bookmarked and it is their go-to easy homemade no-bake granola recipe. But because I had two more kids (that makes 4), a private practice, and a lecture position at Hebrew University, so I simply had no time to maintain the blog.
I thought it was only appropriate then, to start my new site with this recipe. Yes it has carbs, yes it has honey, and no it is not low in calories.
So, how is it a healthy granola recipe?
Well, for starters, it is healthier than the store-bought granola, which has processed oils and a lot more sugar, usually in the form of corn syrup.
It is also packed with nutrients.
It has 8 (yes, 8!) ingredients that are full of nutrients. In a future post, I will discuss my brain-food checklist and you will see that this recipe can be a great way for kids to get their vitamins and minerals. And if you want something sweet for yourself too, who doesn’t enjoy a crunchy granola? The only catch is that if you are trying to lose weight, or you have blood sugar imbalances, you do have to take it easy with the portion size. Eat mindfully and enjoy!
